A traditional & local wooden boat which will be driven by someone for you. With a capacity of maximum 3 person, it’s a good option if you want to enjoy a calm ride, with no annoying motor sound.

Boat houses are the main attractions of Alleppey. They are quite popular, and if you ask us, are so overrated. We will tell you why.
You probably didn’t know that the houseboats can’t stay in the main backwaters after 5pm. You’ll have to park near the townside for the evening. And also, they can’t go through narrow canals. Mostly recommended for couples & families who want to stay overnight.
